Waking up to Golden Mornings!

Do you like waking up in the morning or sleeping your way through most of the day?

I am a morning person and love waking up early, and if I am staying close to a beach, even earlier. There is something about the view of the ocean, the tranquility, the sunrise, and just the overall scenery that enthralls me!

Having been to numerous coastal cities in different countries, my longing to watch the next Sunrise has never subsided. The reason being, every view is different, even if it at the same place! To me, it also signifies the dawn of a new day, full of opportunities, positivity, and of restarting from the beginning.

Even when I am not on vacation, I have made sure my mornings are as bright as they are with the Golden Sunrises! I feel so fresh after a good night sleep that the first thing I do after freshening up is to check my emails, and social media accounts. Bathing comes in next, followed by Prayer and then Yoga. All this while my wife is still sleeping!

A couple of hours in all these activities and I would term it as a great start to the day. Even if I have to spend the next 9 hours in office, as I normally do, my energy levels hardly come down. I am glad to have a team that smiles often, and that adds to my freshness.

Speaking of freshness, a nice odor is essential to start the day with. You wouldn’t want to be with a person who smells miserable in the morning itself. Here’s where my toothpaste and cologne play a perfect role for me. I have a varied collection of both. A proper toothbrush also is a must!

Colgate 360 Charcoal Gold toothbrush promises to turn our Good mornings into Gold mornings – their tagline is #Colgate360GoldMornings and is being referred to as the gold standard of mouth cleaning. Colgate being a renowned and international brand can definitely be trusted with that. It not only cleans our teeth, but tongue, cheeks, and gums too, thus providing a proper oral care!

Leaving you with a visual depiction of Golden Mornings, from my trip to Gold Coast:

  1. Would it make sense if I say I am an aspiring morning person? I love mornings – the sunrise, the fresh breeze, the cool dew – beautiful. But the catch – waking up early!!! My sleep is just that tad bit more precious.

  2. Waking up early that too in winter is the hardest thing to do on Earth😉. But catching the magic of dawn and dusk every now and then, is a treat in itself. The picture is lovely. Hope you have every day with Golden hues.

  3. I wasn’t a morning person earlier, but now I totally am! I love the long morning walks I take alone while absorbing the slight nip in the air as of now and the freshness of morning air.
It’s a lovely picture! Would love to see more of them.🙂

  4. I normally get up early in morning. on Sundays I beat it by getting up before pre dawn to capture sunrise. I feel it’s a magical experience to watch sunrise. Few Years back, I would sleep late on saturday night -socialising. Now it’s a different story!

  5. I presume this is the sunrise pic you were referring to. The hues are beautiful. Are there more to come? I’d love to see them.
I’d love to wake up early in the morning, watch the sunset, do yoga, write etc. But, the first part! I have been trying & trying & trying. It is a struggle for me😦

  6. I am not always in a good place to see the sunrise but I enjoy the pink or golden glow on clouds as I drive to work. I get up between 5 and 6 am every day, Alok. Thanks for the beautiful photograph of a sunrise!🙂

  7. I’m not a morning person one bit. I like my sleep ins I must say. Like you, I like a good night’s sleep and that usually make me feel less stressed in the day. A good breakfast is also a must. Not something too sweet or salty, somewhere in between and healthy.

    Brilliant sunrise shot🙂

  8. I admire the enthusiasm! I’ve always thought of meself as a sleepyhead. I don’t know where you get it. My partner is also the same; he wakes up early as if on cue. Great way to encourage others to wake up earlier too!

  9. Me neither.. not a morning person. I do enjoy the surroundings once I get up, but getting out of bed is kinda big deal. Odor matters to me the most. I just can’t stand bad breath and bad odor. It literally turns me off.. Interesting post Alok..

      1. True. I would greatly appreciate it if you could have a look at my page as well, for I would love to hear the views of a wonderful blogger such as you. Cheers!🙂

  10. Nice!! What did you do at the Gold Coast? I travelled there in November to go to Movieworld, seaworld and Wet ‘n Wild! So much fun🙂
I’m not a morning person, I wish I was! How much sleep do you get a night?

  11. I trained myself to be a morning person all my working life. Until recently I always enjoyed being up to watch the sunrise when it was quiet and nobody around. But for some strange reason the past few months I have been staying in bed until after the sun is up and shining through my window. I feel like half the day has already gone by the time I get out of bed at seven or seven thirty. I have to change that habit! Thanks for this post, I’m setting my alarm right now for tomorrow morning!!!!!!

  12. Waking up early and climbing the tiny hill in my town to watch the sun shine brightly is something I love to do… I loved this post, there’s something about nature that’s just too beautiful to talk about.
